He was predeceased by: his parents, Roberto Hernandez and Maria Guadalupe Cordero of Hernandez. He is survived by: his children, Rene Hernandez (Araceli), Joel Hernandez (Judy), Marina Hernandez and Leticia Mays (Eric); his pets, Huck, Juno, Kobe and Charlie; the mother of his children Marina Mercado; and his siblings, Evangelina Ramirez, Maria Guadalupe Lopez, Irma Santiago, Roberto Hernandez and Laura Gaytan. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and a loving companion.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Russo Hillside Chapel (4500 Roosevelt Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
