He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Sopiarz and Franciszek Sopiarz; and his siblings, Franciszek Sopiarz (late Anna), Bronislaw Sopiarz, Maria Mazanka (late Stefan) and Jozef Sopiarz (late Emilia).
He is survived by: his wife Helen; his daughters, Margaret Gacek (Casimer), Donna Dunham (Douglas), Grace Robinson (Paul) and Lucy Rianda (Matthew); and his grandchildren, Alexander, Anthony, Michael, Helen, Christopher, John and Lukas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
