He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Akers and Carrie Akers (Leonard). He is survived by: his wife Kay Marlene Jones; his children, Rex Akers (Tammy) of Bridgeport and Leslie Schultz of Lincoln, Illinois; and his grandchildren, Amber McAdow (Matt), Amanda Hutchison, Kylie White (Jason), Joey Akers and Cody Akers (J. D.). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
