He was predeceased by: his parents, Murl Gaither and Mildred Gaither (Morehead); and his brother Keith Gaither. He is survived by: his wife Janice Gaither of Bridgeport; his children, Kim Sanders (Byron) of Oblong, Amy Rand (Richard) of Lawrenceville, Randy Gaither (Kimber) of Lawrenceville, Becky Purcell of Bridgeport, David Potts (Mary) of Bridgeport, Steve Potts (Amy) of Bridgeport, Tony Potts (Sarah) of St. Francisville and Mike Potts (Samantha); his sister Karen Hartz of Bridgeport; and his sister-in-law Joann Gaither of Bridgeport. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren: 41 great-grandchildren: 4 great-great-grandchildren.
