He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Smith Leighty and Clark; and his stepbrothers, Wayne Smith and Kenneth Smith. He is survived by: his stepfather Leroy Leighty; his wife Barbara Clodfelder; his daughter Kay Boren (Mark) of Lawrenceville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jennifer Boren Dennis (Jordan) and Mark'Scooter'Boren, Jr. (Susan); and his great grandchildren, Kaylee Johnson, Alli Johnson and Rosemary Boren.
