With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ellen Marie (Dee) Bass of Bridgeport, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Roy Dee, Jr. and Mary Ann Dee (Fanning); and her siblings, John R. Dee, Kathryn Banks and Patricia Dee.
She is survived by: her children, Alissa Trail (Terry Scott) of Mt. Carmel, IL, Amber Wilkinson of Albion, IL, Adam Wilkinson (Mary Elizabeth) of Mt. Carmel, IL, Chelsea Bass of Oak Grove, LA and Callie Bass of Oak Grove, LA; her siblings, Coleen Butterick (Merle) of Ashville, NC, Teresa Salmon of Deland, FL, J. Roy Dee, III (Debbie) of Mt. Carmel, IL, Susan Crabb of Ocala, FL, Angela Dee (Ed Sikora) of Aliceville, AL, Jean Lewis (Matt) of Edwardsville, IL, Sara Kroeger (Dave) of Seneca, SC and Mike Dee (Shannon) of Aliceville, AL; and her grandchildren, Ashlin Trail, Willow Trail, Gator Wilkinson, Sadie Wilkinson, Arlo Wilkinson, Clint Moore and King Bailey.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 3:30 PM and from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Short-Cunningham Funeral Home (527 N Mulberry St, Mt Carmel, IL 62863). A rosary will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ellen's name to St. Mary's School.
