It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edgar J. Holmes of Bridgeport, Illinois, who passed away on July 3, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edgar J. Holmes to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Holmes and Mary Theodore Holmes (Young). He is survived by: his wife Cecile Ann Wolfe; his children, Cheryl Ann Wilson (Willy) of Bridgeport, William Michael Holmes (Lynn) of Bridgeport and Brian Jennings Holmes (Teresa) of Sumner, Illinois; and his pets, Holly, Tank and Little Bit. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the restoration of the St. Francisville Ball Park, with checks being made out to Brittany Hall.
