He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Oakley and Mary Alice Oakley (Martin). He is survived by: his children, Cindy Rothrock of Sellersburg, Carol Oakley of Madison, Shannon Phillips (Travis) of Lawrenceville, Charles Gene Oakley of Lawrenceville and Michael Oakley of Lawrenceville, Illinois. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home (1303 12th St, Lawrenceville, IL 62439). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
