She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis J. Palmer and Clara Mae Palmer; her husband J. C. Rister; her sisters, Sally Holtz, Ruby Greenlee and Maxine Cummins; her great grandchild Presten Rhinehart; her son-in-law Bob Ross; and her sister-in-law Merle Fye.
She is survived by: her mother-in-law Clara Mae Catherine Palmer (Dolby); her daughters, Brenda Ross of Bridgeport, Anita Zachary (Stephen) of Lawrenceville and Connie Adams of Bridgeport; and her sister Betty Jean Kirchner of Sterling. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren: and several nieces and nephews.
