With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth M. Winter (Breese, Illinois), born in Rural, Illinois, who passed away on March 6, 2019 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilber Sellers and Cecilia Sellers (Herkler); her spouse August F. Winter; her daughter Judith Koch; her son-in-law Ronald Koch; and her sisters, Henrietta Furdek and Dorothy Ilges.
She is survived by: her children, John Winter (Debbie) of Breese and Jennifer Focht-Benoist (David) of St. Louis, MO; and her sister Wilma Berndsen of Aviston. She is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Dominic Parish, Aviston Countryside Manor Activity Fund, or St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary and will be received at the church or Nordike Funeral Home, 150 N. Clinton, Breese, IL 62230 who is serving the family.
