With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ellen Deien of Breese, Illinois, who passed away on January 3, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Wilma and Berndsen of Breese; her daughters, Melissa Howard (Albert Johnson) of Breese, Jodi Winkeler (Don) of Breese and Christi Howard (Mark) of Breese; her grandchildren, Jesse Howard (Tina), Crystal Payne (Dustin), Alisha Howard (Jared Hill), Albert Johnson II, Kassie Stuckemeyer (Zac), Zachary Winkeler (Kaelyn), Cameron Winkeler (Chelsea), Kyra Howard (CJ Logan), Carson Howard and Gabriel Howard; her great grandchildren, Madilyn Howard, Tori, Wyatt Payne, Christian, Elijah Howard, Neely, Lilliana and Paisley Winkeler; her sister Gloria Garavaglia (Lou) of St. Louis; and her former husband James "Jim" Deien.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be received through Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th, Breese, IL 62230 who is serving the family.
