It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Ann Hempen (Breese, Illinois), who passed away on December 1, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Stephen; her husband Cletus Hempen; her daughter Phyllis Crippen; her daughter-in-law Karen Taylor; her great grandchild Isaiah Jones; her siblings, Andrew Wilke, Martha Wilke, Sr., Priscilla Wilke, Sr., Henrietta Wilke and Bertha Kluemke; and her brother-in-law Herb Korte (Frank Kluemke).
She is survived by: her children, Mark Hempen of Jamestown, Debra Gall (Mike) of St. Rose, Tony Hempen (Geralyn) of Highland, Jane Baer (Rex) of Harrisonville, MO and Larry Hempen (Tracy) of St. Rose; her grandchildren, Bob Crippen, Jonathan Gall, Phillip Gall, Melissa Poss, Nathan Gall, Amanda Heinzmann, Andrew Baer, Eric Hempen, Mary Downey, Matthew Baer, Jessie Hempen and Nicole Hempen; her sister Irma Korte; and her sister-in-law Cecilia Wilke. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Rose Catholic Church (18010 St Rose Rd, Breese, IL 62230). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the St. Rose Catholic Church or St. Rose Fire Department and will be received at church or Nordike Funeral Home, 150 N. Clinton St., Breese, IL 62230 who is serving the family.
