He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Steinmann and Helena Steinmann; his siblings, Regina Tebbe (Joe), Frank Steinmann (Ann), Veronica Steinmann, Dorothy Korte (Ray), Ed Steinmann (Regina) and Loretta Koch (Wib); and his parents-in-law, Anthony and Bertha Wellen.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Steinmann; his children, Tom Rakers (Lori) of Chester, Chris Hanke (Tim) of Carlyle, Mark Steinmann (Renee) of St. Rose and Becky Henrichs (Mike) of St. Rose; his grandchildren, Michelle Rakers, Mitchell Rakers (Kayla Hislope), Zach Rakers (Nichole Wiedwilt), Nicole Goolsby (Ben), Lucas Hanke (Vanessa), Michaela, Jacob Steinmann, Lilly, Danica, Eli and Camden Henrichs; and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Wellen (Joan) of Trenton, Butch Wellen (Ag) of Highland, Pat Hustedde (Curtis) of Highland, Tony Wellen (Rosanne) of Aviston and Rick Wellen (Alice) of Aviston. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the St. Rose Fire Department and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
