She is survived by: her husband Gene Louis Shimkus of Collinsville; her children, Bill (Bette) of Portland, Dorothy Joyce, Joan Green (Bernie), John (Karen), Helen Ross (Pat) of Tennessee, Jean Holten and Jana Heuer (Chris); her brother Bill; and her sister-in-law Janice Mondy of Indianapolis. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
