Joseph J. Hagen Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hagen and Cecilia Hagen; his siblings, Marie Huster (Charles), Rosalie Mitchell, Sr., Jerome Hagen, Bernadette Hagen, Robert Hagen (Emma), Augustine Hagen and Monica Saracino (Richard); his parents-in-law, Louis and Noretta Korte; and his brothers-in-law, Louis "Bud" Korte and Phil Abernathy.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Hagen; his daughters, Deb Engelmann (Ron Haws) of Harlingen, TX, Becky Rickhoff (Marvin) of Bartelso and Bonnie Schnieder (John) of Breese; his grandchildren, Jeff Engelmann (Ashleigh), Justin Engelmann (Karen), Amanda Thole (Kyle), Riley Rickhoff (Nadine), Hayley Schuetz (Jacob) and Gabi Haake (Seth); his great grandchildren, Mackenzye, Colton, Lucas, Caleb, Briella Engelmann, Marlee, Heidi Engelmann, Sophia, Emma Thole, Trey Rickhoff, Margarete Schuetz and Toby Haake; and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Hagen of Breese, Mary Jane Korte of Albers, Mary Lue Rapien (Lloyd) of Trenton and Nora "Babe" Abernathy of Arvada, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church (525 S 3rd St, Breese, IL 62230). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to St. Augustine Parish, Breese American Legion Post 252, or Mater Dei Catholic High School and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
