In loving memory of James M. Sprengel of Breese, Illinois, born in Mattoon, Illinois, who departed this world on September 5, 2024 at the age of 91. He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin "Mike" Sprengel and Florence Sprengel (Waddell); his wife Charlotte Bernice Sprengel; and his brothers-in-law, Grover Everett and Gerald Cumby.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa L. Brooks (Len) of Iowa City, IA, Lori L. Andrews (Carey) of Fairview Heights, IL and Bonnie A. Pinner (David) of Lincolnshire, IL.; his grandchildren, Natalie Bontrager (Nevin), Stephanie Voelker (Evan), Andrew Brooks, Ava Taylor (Alex), Elsie Andrews, Matthew Pinner (Melissa) and Jennifer Wagman (Chris); his great grandchildren, Zion, Calvary, Gideon, Silas Bontrager, Titus, Jude, Ricky, Jubilee, Verity Voelker, Griffin Taylor, Liam and Cora Pinner; his sisters-in-law, Patricia Everett, Linda Cumby and Janet Cumby; and his cousins, Barbara Krieger (Len), Pat Dillard (Pete), Margie Poorman (Phil), Kathy Baker (Gary) and Craig Waddell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the Breese Public Library or Meals on Wheels and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
