Eugene B. Albers Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene B. Albers of Breese, Illinois, who passed away on November 12, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Albers and Josephine Albers (Leonard); his wife Esther Albers (Rosen); his siblings, Mildred "Millie" Renschen (August "Gus"), Dolores Peek (Paul) and Raymond Albers; his parents-in-law, Anton and Louisa Rosen (Liening); and his siblings-in-law, Bernell Loepker, Marcel Heimann, Sylvester Rosen, Harry Rosen, Leonarda Wempe (Virgil), C. J. "Bud" Rosen (Esther), Gertrude Smith (William) and Julianna "Dolly" Damm (Leonard).
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth "Betty" Guthrie of Breese and Robert A. "Bob" Albers (Janice) of Breese; his grandchildren, Joseph Guthrie (Mackenzie Henrichs), Jordan Guthrie (Ivania), Jacob Guthrie (Emily Von Bokel), Jessica Byrd, Crystal Daniken (Daniel) and Joshua Albers (Lisl Fauke); his great grandchildren, Sophia, Tyler, Liam Guthrie, Remi Guthrie, Bryce Albers, Calvin Byrd, Barrett and Colton Daniken; and his siblings, Norbert Albers (Ruth Ann) of Beckemeyer and Lucille Heimann of Aviston. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the Breese Knights of Columbus (480 N Walnut St, Breese, IL 62230). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Dominic Catholic Church (493 N 2nd St, Breese, IL 62230).
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St., Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
