With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Duane C. Richter of Breese, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Duane left this world on February 21, 2025 at the age of 62, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Casper Richter and Dorothy Richter; his brother Steve Richter; his father-in-law Dale Reinhardt; and his brother-in-law Rich Bradford.
He is survived by: his wife Melissa Richter; his sons, Jason Richter (Danielle) of Breese, Kyle Richter of Breese and Cody Richter (Mariah Markus) of Germantown; his grandchildren, Wyatt, Lane, Brody, Weston, Lux, Leighton Richter, Beckett and Maddox Richter; his siblings, Tom Richter (Karen) of Breese, Randy Richter (Tracy) of Breese and Kathleen Hodges (Tim) of New Baden; his godmother Edna Woltering of Carlyle; his mother-in-law Pat Reinhardt of Albers; and his siblings-in-law, Randy Reinhardt (Jan) of Albers, Sue Norrenberns (Jim) of Albers, Sharon Wuebbels (Ed) of Albers, Joanie Bradford of Albers, Joe Reinhardt (Jennifer) of Albers and Pam O'Brien (Tom) of Trenton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and great friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church (525 S 3rd St, Breese, IL 62230).
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to Chakota Therapeutic Riding Center or the Alzheimer's Association and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
