He was predeceased by: his brothers, Robert "Rob" Hummert and William "Bill" Hummert; his parents-in-law, Henry and Clara; and his siblings-in-law, Cornelius Zurliene, Eileen Toennies (Elmer), Kathleen Ripperda (Robert), Rita Horstmann (Jim) and Ethel Zurliene.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Hummert of Breese; his daughters, Carrie Tingley of Aviston and Amy Strubhart (Craig) of Aviston; his grandchildren, Tatum Tingley, Reese, Mabree and Callen Strubhart; his brother Jim Hummert (Diane) of Breese; his siblings-in-law, Pat Hummert of Breese, Carol E. Hummert of St. Louis, Lorraine Zurliene of Breese, Laverne Zurliene of Beckemeyer and Phyllis Dumstorff (Bob) of Breese; and his friend Wally Knue of Breese. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
