It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clara Ann Wesselmann of Breese, Illinois, who passed away on April 12, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry and Sophia Marie; her son-in-law Robert Lager; her great grandchild Matthew Wesselmann; her siblings, Lawrence Hilmes (Verena), Agnes Hoerchler (Henry Jr.), Edwin Hilmes (Marge), Henry Hilmes (Mary Rita), Robert Hilmes (Helen), Mary Woltering (Victor) and David Hilmes; and her siblings-in-law, Marie Kassen (Lawrence), Dorothy Buscher (John), Stanley Blumenstein, Theresa Wesselmann, Vincent Wesselmann, Betty Hilmes and Theresa Schulte (Arthur Jr.).
She is survived by: her husband Gregory Wesselmann; her children, Jean Wesselmann of Breese, Alfred Wesselmann (Brenda) of Germantown, Jim Wesselmann (Bonnie) of Breese and Doris Lager of Breese; her grandchildren, Jason Wesselmann (Amy), Scott Wesselmann (Laura), Ashley Huelsmann (Jeff), Mandy Bufford and Robert Bufford (Theresa); her stepgrandchildren, Jeffrey Lager (Kendra) and Jill Burris (Dave); her brother Richard Hilmes of Florissant, MO; and her siblings-in-law, Linda Hilmes of Lockport, Veronica Blumenstein of Breese, Jerome Wesselmann of Highland, Henry Wesselmann Jr. (Marie) of Germantown, Virgil Wesselmann (Alice) of Marydale, Bernadette Yapp of O'Fallon, Agnes Dumstorff of Breese and Ruth Ann Jansen (Herman Jr.) of Damiansville. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren.
Memorials in honor of Clara may be made to a charity of donor's choice and will be received by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
