She is survived by: her mother Elizabeth "Betty" Smith of Breese; her husband Charles F. Hilmes of Breese; her daughter Cierra Hilmes of Breese; her siblings, Marietta Kuhl (Ralph) of Breese and Timothy Smith (Sandy) of Nashville; her siblings-in-law, Kathy Smith of Breese, Deb Ratermann (Cletus) of Breese, Diane Holtgrave (Sarge) of St. Rose, Mike "Red" Hilmes (Chris) of Breese, Kevin Hilmes (Vanessa) of Breese, Mike Pitt (Gena) of Dover, FL and Shelly Hilmes (Jason Holthaus) of Aviston; her uncles, Dan Strake of Breese and Dennis "Bucky" Strake (Doris) of Breese; her aunt Judy Brown of Beckemeyer; and her pet Remi. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
