He was predeceased by: his former wife Elizabeth Trame; his siblings, Bert Rakers (Sylvia), Jean Mueller (Don), Jerry Rakers (Dolly), Marcel Rakers, Maurice Rakers, Bob Rakers and Dennis Rakers; and his brothers-in-law, Bob Gerstner and James Hollenkamp.
He is survived by: his children, Glen Rakers (Nira Ballantini), Mary Kay Schrage (Lloyd), Tom Rakers (Michell), Mike Rakers (Jill), Mark Rakers and Patty Zurliene (Duane); his stepchildren, Tina Harris (Patrick), Greg Gibson (Diane), Scott Langenhorst (Kelly) and Dana Chesnek (Jason); his siblings, Virgil Rakers (Beverly), Ruth Gerstner, Betty Voss (Leonard) and Mary Howell (Larry); and his parents-in-law, Steve Frazier (MaryAnn), Brenda Kruger (Wayne), Stanley Williams (Brigette), Pat Korte (Gary), Darlene Kuhlmann (Pete) and Stan Williams (Mary). He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
