With heavy hearts, we announce the death of AnnaJeanne E. Kampwerth (Breese, Illinois), who passed away on February 11, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father William; her husband Andrew Kampwerth; her son Terry Kampwerth; her siblings, William Schrage (Verena), Patricia VonderHaar, Sr. (Al), Mary, Victoria Book, Dennis and Roger Schrage; her parents-in-law, John and Clara Kampwerth; and her siblings-in-law, Alfred Kampwerth (Agnes), Jerome Kampwerth (Betty), Mary Edith Haar (Lewis), John Kampwerth, Louis Winkeler, Robert Kampwerth, Ralph Kampwerth, Gerald Kampwerth (Agnes), Bruno Kampwerth and Geraldine Kampwerth.
She is survived by: her children, Jeanne Leatherwood (John) of Conroe, TX, Ron Kampwerth of Salem, OR, Carolyn McDonald of O'Fallon, IL, Steve Kampwerth (Michelle) of Birmingham, AL and Jeff Kampwerth (Amy) of St. Rose, IL.; her grandchildren, John (Erin), Brian (Kendl), Michael Leatherwood (Bailey), Ryan (Stacey), Brett (Jordan), Lindsey, Adam (Kelli), Avoynna Kampwerth, Brandon, Bryce Kampwerth, Brianne McGinnis (Shawn), Andrew McDonald (Sadie), Alexandra Tebbe (Kyle), Jack McDonald (Shaye Hunt), Olivia DeFalco (Hunter), Avery Kampwerth, Elyse (Justin Becker) and Abbi Kampwerth; her brother Linus Schrage (Emilie) of Chicago; and her siblings-in-law, Tom Book of Belleville, Mary Kampwerth of Highland, Marietta Winkeler of Highland, Darlene Kampwerth of Highland and James Kampwerth (Dorothy) of Highland. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Moss Funeral Home (535 N 5th St, Breese, IL 62230). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Rose Catholic Church (18010 St Rose Rd, Breese, IL 62230).
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to St. Rose Catholic Church, Mater Dei Catholic High School, St. Rose Fire Department, or Clinton County Relay for Life and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St. Breese, IL 62230.
