He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul E. Armstrong and Mildred Marie Armstrong; his wife Genethy Armstrong; his son Tony "Turbo" Armstrong; his grandson Alexander Samul-Lee Armstrong; his siblings, Jon Armstrong, Jan McPherson, Wilma Brassard and Ervin Armstrong; and his pet Bounce.
He is survived by: his son Thomas Armstrong of Braidwood; his grandchildren, Alyssa Armstrong, Timmy Armstrong (Trisha Campbell), Joey Armstrong (Sara Lewis-Armstrong) and Charlie Armstrong; his great grandchildren, Tatum and Teagan Armstrong; and his sisters, Joy Armstrong of Custer Park and Marlene Horn of Essex, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to one of his favorite charities: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
