He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Buelah Victoria Scheer; and his sisters, Ruth Scheer, Barbara VanCamp and Jeannie Cornelius.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Scheer of Braidwood; his children, Lisa Stockdale (Patrick, Jr.) of Plainfield, IL, Andrew Scheer (Candace) of Coal City, IL, Joseph Scheer (Brandy) of Diamond, IL and Emily Nielsen (Heath) of Oak Park, IL; his grandchildren, Isabella, Emma, Kylee, Cody, Drew, Patrick III, Emmett, Simon, Eva, Lola and Penelope; and his siblings, Carol Fabry (Michael), Sandra Hendrickson (Kenneth), Mary Holterman (Larry), Debbie Orosco (Lupe) and John Scheer (Brenda). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be directed to the Immaculate Conception Church.
