He was predeceased by: his parents, George Walter and Anne Walter; his siblings, Charles Walter (Ann) and Lynne Lewis; his brother-in-law Ronald Nungesser; and his great grandchildren, Amethyst and Dezirae.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Ann Walter; his daughters, Kim Wagge (Robert) of Godley, IL, Lori Haley (Robert) of Braidwood and Vicki Schnurstein (Randal) of Braidwood; his grandchildren, Patrick O'Reilly (Judith Harper), Joshua O'Reilly (Nikki Billingsley), Katie O'Reilly (Ryan Hams), Danielle Marma (Johnathan), Meghan Petersen (Chris Kuchar), Kylie Hinich (Joshua MacNicol), Abbigale Haley, Meghan Haley, Jessica Biros, Jennifer Schnurstein and Matthew Schnurstein (Lauren); his brother Paul Walter (Elizabeth) of New Hartford, NY; and his siblings-in-law, Donald Nungesser (Donna) of Fredericksburg, VA and Patty Nungesser of Woodbridge, VA. He is also survived by many loving great-grandchildren.
