With solemn reverence, we commemorate Joyce Marie Engel of Braidwood, Illinois, whose life came to an end on December 19, 2024 at the age of 61, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father George L. Engel; her brother Don Engel; her son-in-law Steven Neese; and her former husband John Barnes. She is survived by: her mother Julia "Nana" Engel of Braidwood; her daughters, Jessica Neese (John Rivett) of Essex, IL, Jillian Lynn (Travis) of Coal City, IL and Jina Barnes (D. C. Vari) of Morris, IL; her grandchildren, Madilyn Neese, Corbin Neese, Colten Lynn, Caylee Lynn, Hunter Vari, Conner Lynn, Greyson Rivett, Conrad Neese and Clark Lynn; and her siblings, Judy James (Walter) of Custer Park, IL, Janet Kalbfleisch (Todd) of Braidwood and Karl Engel (Linda) of Braidwood. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the R. W. Patterson Funeral Home (401 E Main St, Braidwood, IL 60408). A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the humane society or animal shelter of the donor's choice.
