He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Hnetkovsky and Ellen Hnetkovsky; his wife Patricia Ann Hnetkovsky; and his siblings, Florence Trout (Robert), Frank Hnetkovsky (Katherine), Edward Hnetkovsky and Clarence Hnetkovsky (Maxine).
He is survived by: his children, John R. Hnetkovsky, Jr. of Braidwood, David Hnetkovsky of Plainfield and Lauri Phillips (late Stan) of Montgomery, IL; and his grandchildren, Tristen, Ashly, Caitlin, Dylan, John David and Bailey. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews.
