Gary Joseph Cervenka Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Joseph Cervenka of Braidwood, Illinois, who passed away on December 24, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Cervenka, Jr. and Emily Brabeck; his grandfather Joseph Brabeck; and his sons, Robert and Brian Cervenka.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Cervenka of Braidwood; his children, Gary Cervenka (Sandy Rae), Connie Terrel (Don Pogliano) of Coal City, Doreen M. Cervenka of Chicago and Donald Cervenka of Chicago, Illinois; his grandchildren, Robert "Bobby" Terrel of Coal City, Joseph Terrel (Lisha) of Coal City, Kristina Lardi (Josh) of Coal City and Victoria E. M. Peters; his great grandchildren, Evie, Isaac, Annie Lardi, Paisley, Hunter Terrel, Jack, Charlotte Terrel and Freddie Stacey; his siblings, Frank Cervenka (Lois) of Darien and Trudy Harding of White City, Illinois; and his nieces, Francine and Julianne Cervenka.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church - Coal City (215-245 S Kankakee St, Coal City, IL 60416). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Gary's memory to the charity of the donor's choosing.
