He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Novy and Donna Rae Novy; his son Dean W. Novy, Jr.; and his siblings, Debbie Sue Tryner, Danny Novy, Tim Novy and Kimmy Novy.
He is survived by: his significant other Karen Brassard of Godley; his children, Tracie Olson (Brian) of Wilmington, Sara Novy of Godley, Ashley Novy of Rest Haven and Chris Novy (Whitney) of Kansas; his grandchildren, Dean, Natalie, Hunter, Rylee, Shawn Jr., Dixie and Kinslee; and his brothers, Dennie Novy of Wilmington and Dale Novy of Port Huron, MI. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his name may be directed to Lightways Hospice.
