Though Veneta may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Walker and Madeline Walker (Burner); her husband John Hatton; her son James Allen; her sister Leona Taylor; and her great grandchild Spencer.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Allen (Michelle) of Bradley, Don Allen (Beth) of Kankakee, Richard Allen (Annette) of Bradley and Diane Glassford (Mark) of Bradley; and her daughter-in-law Barb Allen of Bradley. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jensen Funeral Home (3639 E IL-17, Kankakee, IL 60901). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mound Grove Cemetery (1000 N Greenwood Ave, Kankakee, IL 60901).
