It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry M. McElroy of Bradley, Illinois, born in Kankakee, Illinois, who passed away on July 30, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Francis G. McElroy and Phyllis J. McElroy (Spangler); his son David McElroy; his siblings, Mary Ann, Johnny, Allen and Jimmy; his grandchildren, Addyson and Laynee; his adoptive mother Karen Moore; his wife Patti Clark; his daughter Lisa; and also, Trenton and Khaunar.

“I am saddened to hear of Larry's passing. Larry and I worked together at GNB Industrial Batteries in Kankakee and we became very good friends. We fished together very often and went to Sammy's Pizza on Friday nights. Larry was a unique individual and an excellent friend. We'd call each other a few times a year to catch up.
