She is survived by: her parents, Michael A. Chavez and Pamela L. Laing; her son William Mewhorter; her stepmother Laurie Chavez (Wilson); her siblings, Laura Chavez, Samantha Chavez, Michael Laing and Aaron Chavez; her brother-in-law Danny Brown; her nephew Marik; and her niece Mia.
