He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl VanGilder and Mabel VanGilder; and his brothers, Roger, Vernon, Gene and Kevin.
He is survived by: his wife Marsha VanGilder; his children, Vince VanGilder (Barb) of Bourbonnais, Mike Todd (Jodi) of Wilmington, Cindy White of Bradley and Dea-anne Muss (Mike) of Bradley; and his siblings, Everett of Florida, Raymond of Bonfield, Joyce Benjamin (Dan) of Kankakee, Bonnie Kohl of Manteno and Bonita Morton (Glen) of Wisconsin. He is also survived by nine grandsons; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to cancer reach or hospice.
