She was predeceased by: her father Fred Hammer; and her husband Edward Buettner. She is survived by: her mother Elvera Hammer; her daughters, Kimberlee Wood (Ron) of Victoria, Nancy Coleman (John) of Rantoul and Laura Rattin of Bourbonnais; her brother Fred Hammer; and her nephew Owen Hammer. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was always the first to offer her services for fundraising, donating to various organizations, and enjoyed traveling the world with Avon for her dedication to the company.
