He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald James "Jim" Johnston and Doris Johnston (McMeen). He is survived by: his daughter Peggy of Wyanet; his grandchildren, Patrick and Bethany; his great grandchildren, Avery of Bradford, Benjamin of Bradford and Stella of Bradford; his siblings, Mary of Champaign, Donna Urban (Don) of Spring Bay, Francis "Zip" (Sherry) of Peoria, Doyle (Linda) of Wyanet, Nancy Johnston, Cathy Naylor of Albuquerque, NM, Allen (Julia) of Urbana, Rosalie Gerkin (Jim) of Kokomo, IN, Joe (Connie) of Mohomet and Paula King (Rick) of Wyoming; and his aunt Sandra Elrick of Virginia. He is also survived by 40 nieces and nephews.
