Florence Kennedy Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Florence Kennedy (Braceville, Illinois), who passed away on April 12, 2019 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband LaVern Robert Kennedy; her siblings, Harriet Marcotte, Leila Vilt (Edward "Puggy"), Florence "Toots" Cushing (J. R.), Marguerite Anderson (James), Dorothy Jean Kelly, Donald Kelly, Leroy Kelly, Robert Kelly and Edward Kelly; her great grandchildren, Jessica and Casey; and her great great grandchild Maddison.
She is survived by: her children, DeAnn Nielsen (late Roy) of Rice, Shirley Kennedy of Ottawa, Thomas Kennedy (Christine) of Hepler, Donald Kennedy of Crest Hill, Kenneth Kennedy (Patricia) of Morris and Lawrence Kennedy (Linda) of Bonfield, Illinois; and her grandchildren, Roy Nielsen (Patty), Robert Nielsen (Debra), Erik Nielsen (Kris), Jennifer Kennedy (Josh Hughes), Mandy Kennedy, Samantha Jo (Donald "D. J." Kirby), Annette Muller (Jeffrey Larson), Victoria Halstead (Jason Robinson), Matthew Kennedy and Jared Kennedy (Sara). She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Florence's memory to: Braceville United Methodist Church, or Gardner Senior Center, or other charity of donor's choice.
