She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Melvin and LaVerne Melvin; and her sister Janis. She is survived by: her husband Gene Ufkes; her grandchildren, Luke, Lora, Lexi, Logan Bensinger, Carlie Mettler, Beckam, Isla, Elle, Jimmy Ufkes, Sophie, Mack and Annie Tenhouse; and her siblings, Rich Melvin and Anne Young (Roger).

Memorial donations may be made to the Denver Christian Church.

“Your cousins are your first real friends. I have such fond memories of our earlier years. I always loved going to the farm. Linda was always such fun to be around. She always made everyone feel welcome. From playing with the chickens to taking me to one of her high school dances she was the life of the party. Time slips away. I will cherish those memories.
