He was predeceased by: his parents, William Whewell and Mabel Whewell (Blythe); his son-in-law Chris May; and his siblings, Robert, Dale, Vera and Doris.
He is survived by: his wife Grace Bonita Laffey; his children, Bonita Slovinski (Jerry) of Naperville, Calvin Whewell (Carol) of Bryan, Annette May of Bowen, Yvonne Cloonan (Patrick) of Plainfield, Lydia Whewell of Plainfield, Keela Whewell of Bowen and Garth Whewell (Christy) of Lawrenceville, Illinois; and his grandchildren, Kelsey Kulp (Derek), Natalie Brody (Brian), Nathan Whewell (Aubrey), Colleen Rerucha (Eric), Andrew Whewell (Jenifer), Corinne Mathis (Michael), Neil Cloonan, Ryan Cloonan (Sylwia), Wyatt Whewell (Emma) and Elsie Svika (Orrin). He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
