He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Whitaker and Patricia Ann Vest Whitaker; and his brother Brian Whitaker. He is survived by: his children, Rylie Whitaker of Bowen, IL, Emma Whitaker of Bowen, IL and Gunnar Whitaker of Bushnell, IL; and his siblings, Becky Ramsey (Ryan) of Bowen, IL, Bruce Whitaker (Kristin) of Keokuk, IA and Brad Whitaker (Evelyn) of Bowen, IL. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials may be made to the Chili Park District.
