He was predeceased by: his parents, Oren Floyd and Loretta Floyd (Amend); his spouse Shirley J. Heck; his brother Joseph Floyd; his parents-in-law, Orville and Elsie Heck; and his brothers-in-law, Dr. Gerald Peterson and William Byrns.
He is survived by: his daughter Sherry; his son-in-law Ed Szadziewicz of Lebanon, TN; his son Jim; his daughter-in-law Dawn Floyd of New Lenox; his sisters, Mary Peterson of Belvidere, IL and Ruth Byrns of Bradley; his grandchildren, Kelly Castellano (Alejandro), Alex Szadziewicz, Caroline Floyd and Benjamin Floyd; and his great grandchildren, Freya and Callum.
Memorials may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church.
