He was predeceased by: his parents, Lecil Ray and Hannah DeWitt (Schneider); his brothers, Cleo, Roger, Gale and Wilbur DeWitt; his nephew Richard Wolford Jr.; and his nieces, Suzanne DeWitt, Cindy DeWitt and Tammy Hootman.
He is survived by: his wife Helen of Bourbonnais; his children, Delaine Logston (Neal) of Elmhurst, IL, Jaymie DeWitt (Audrey) of Washington, NJ and Nicole Gassman (Brent) of Littleton, CO; his grandchildren, Drew, Kyle and Mara Gassman; and his sister Lorna Wolford of Bradley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
