He was predeceased by: his child Kim Laning (David); his siblings, Jay and Sherry Gouwens (Russ); and his parents, Cornelius Rietveld and Nellie Rietveld.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Rietveld; his children, Kathy Rosenberg (late Bill) and John Rietveld (Rhonda); and his brother Phil Rietveld (late Audrey).
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Smits Funeral Home (2121 Pleasant Springs Ln, Dyer, IN 46311). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
