She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard BeDell and Eva Mae BeDell (Wolfe); her husband Harry D. Burkhalter; her grandson Matthew Burkhalter; and her brothers, Frederick BeDell and Ray BeDell.

She is survived by: her children, Dennis, Debra Burkhalter of Bourbonnais and James Burkhalter of Albemarle, N. C.; her sister-in-law Mary BeDell of Bourbonnais; her grandchildren, Jennifer Thompson, Kelly Greenberg, Michael Burkhalter, Ansley Burkhalter, Jacob Burkhalter and Eric Burkhalter; and her great grandchildren, Elijah, Elara, Summer, Destiny, Colton and Micah.
