He was predeceased by: his grandmother Annie Mary Staples; his brother-in-law Aaron West; and his aunts and uncles, Shirley Gaines, Lela M. Cattledge, Larry Nelson, Rufus Cattledge and James Allen.
He is survived by: his children, Jonathan Willis Jr. of Bourbonnais, IL and Destanie Willis of Bourbonnais, IL; his parents, Johnny Lee Willis of Mississippi and Ruth Willis of Waynesville, MO; his brother Jimmy Lee Jr. of Kankakee, IL; his siblings-in-law, Mikyya Bynum of Kankakee, IL and JonNann West; his nieces and nephews, Karranja-Roshummari Willis, Jimmy Lee Bynum III, Aundrea Bridgeman, Jimikka Bynum and Rani Willis; and also, JonNeice Willis, Sam Brown, James Brown of Chicago, IL and Katrina Willis of Madison, WI. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
