With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald Rivard of Bourbonnais, Illinois, born in Kankakee, Illinois, who passed away on March 12, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerard M. Rivard and Marie Rivard (Belisle); and his former wife Sandra Rivard. He is survived by: his wife Mary Rivard of Bourbonnais; his daughters, Lisa Tollard of Osh Kosh, WI, Linda Rivard (Timothy McCullough) of Donovan and Sarah Rivard (Robert R. Johnson) of Chicago; his grandchildren, Devin Statler, Chloe Tollard and Reed Tollard; his great grandchildren, Liam Statler and Tanner Statler; and his sisters, Doris Barta and Carol (Jim Cahill).

“We were so shocked and saddened to learn of Jerry’s death. Such a kind and wonderful man. Truly the nicest neighbor anyone could ask for. I will miss seeing him sitting in his chair outside his garage enjoying the outdoors and sitting in the back of church on Sunday mornings. Prayers to Mary and family. Steve and Jeri DiMarzio”
