He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Chamness and Anna Chamness (Skube); his siblings, Francis "Foo" Chamness, Perry Chamness, Delbert Chamness and Maxine Cassidy; and his siblings-in-law, Harold Cassity, Henrietta Chamness and Oletha Chamness.

He is survived by: his wife Frieda Chamness of Bourbonnais; his daughter Debra "Deb"; his son-in-law Donald Rantz of Beaverville; his son Robert; his daughter-in-law Michelle Chamness of Lawton; his grandchildren, Sara Souligne and Katlyn Chamness; and his great grandchildren, Kylee Souligne and Joseph Depoister.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, face masks and social distancing will be required.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
