He was predeceased by: his mother Aleyamma; and his wife Saramma. He is survived by: his children, Saji Mathai, Joyce Mathai of Bourbonnais and Thomas Mathai (Libby); and his grandchildren, Noah and Micah Mathai of Plano, Texas.. He is also survived by his five brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law, as well as his nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bourbonnais - Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes, Inc. (295 Main St NW, Bourbonnais, IL 60914). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at the Kankakee Memorial Garden (15 Lowe Rd, Kankakee, IL 60901).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Abraham's name to the College Church of the Nazarene Missions.
