With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Ellen Gilbert of Bonnie, Illinois, born in Waltonville, Illinois, who passed away on December 24, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Orval Fairchild and Shirley; and her siblings, Bobby G. Fairchild, Ron Fairchild, Irene Beckham, Barbara Dixon, Anna Marie Darrough, Meda Beckham, Sheryl Wilderman, Lowell Thomas Fairchild and Alden Fairchild.
She is survived by: her spouse Jerry Gilbert; her children, Pam Kash (Barry) of Sesser, Angela Neibel (Mark) of Tuscon, Arizona and Jeff Gilbert (Paula) of Covington, Tennessee; her sister Nina Faye Ratajczyk of Tamaroa, Illinois; her grandchildren, Ashley Price, Aaron Gilbert, Brett Neibel, Daniel Kash, Justin Gilbert, Megan Cannon, Alton Gilbert and Mark Gilbert; and her great grandchildren, Jordan Price, Harper Price, Stevie Kash, Quincy Cannon, Grant Gilbert, Marlow Cannon, Emery Neibel, Krue Kash, Wrenley Cannon and Owen Moon.
Memorials may be made in Shirley's honor to Waltonville Free Will Baptist Church.
