She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Bean and Mary Belle Bean (Briesacher); and her brothers, Perry Bean and Marty Bean. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Dean Bernard; her children, Carl Bernard (Jenè) of Acworth, Jody Bernard of Mount Vernon, Barry Bernard of Mount Vernon, Reginald Bernard of Bonnie, Cindy Walsh (Shawn) of Canton, Georgia and Windy Howard (Sam) of Mount Vernon; her grandchildren, Patrick, Jacob, Colton, Conner, Jackie, Jovey and Michael; her siblings, Phil Bean (Shelby) of Texico, Marsha Jones of Sesser and Tana Bernard (Dale) of Virgina; and her sister-in-law Sue Bean of Indiana. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
